Baby room 1 is bright, peaceful and welcoming, creating a comforting environment where babies can feel safe and settled.
The room
The space is thoughtfully arranged with carefully chosen resources that support early development and encourage exploration. Two tuff trays at different heights allow babies to explore in ways that suit their stage of development, whether they are sitting, reaching, touching different textures or beginning to pull themselves up to stand.
Reading corner
A cosy reading corner offers quiet moments for cuddles, stories and one-to-one interaction with our staff. These calm moments help babies build strong bonds with their keyworker while developing early communication and listening skills. Our soft play area provides a safe space for tummy time, rolling, stretching and other early movements that support physical development and gross motor skills.
Cot room
Attached to the room is our cot room, where babies can rest and sleep in a calm and comfortable environment. We understand how important sleep routines are at this age, so we make sure each child’s individual routine is respected and followed as closely as possible.
Our team
We feel privileged to be part of such an important stage in a baby’s life. From first smiles and first steps to those early words and little moments of discovery, we love celebrating these special milestones with our families. In Baby Room 1, every interaction matters. Our team focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with each baby, offering comfort, reassurance and gentle encouragement as they begin to explore the world around them.
Baby Room 1 is also a place where strong relationships are built with families as well as children. We understand that for many parents this is the first time your little pride & joy is being cared for by someone other than yourself, which can be a big step. Our team takes the time to build trust with both babies and parents, offering reassurance, regular updates and open communication so families feel confident and supported from the very beginning.
Routines
We also work in close partnership with parents regarding routines. We follow each baby’s home routine for feeding, bottles, naps and comfort, helping to create consistency between home and nursery during this important stage of development which helps ease the transition to nursery.
Our goal is simple in Baby Room 1, we aim for every baby to feel safe, loved and settled, and for every parent to feel confident that their child is in caring and capable hands.
