We opened our doors in August 2019, when our family took the exciting step of creating our own childcare setting. With over 17 years of experience in childcare, Jane brought a wealth of knowledge to Wonder World, having worked directly in playrooms before progressing into a management role. She holds both Level 3 and Level 5 CCLD qualifications, and her experience and passion helped shape the nursery from the very beginning.

Neil and Emma have been involved since day one, working alongside Jane to build and run the nursery as a family. Neil brings an accounting background and plays a key role behind the scenes, supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery through finances, invoicing and administration.

Being a family-run nursery is something we are very proud of. It allows us to create a genuine home-from-home environment where children feel comfortable, settled and happy, and where families feel welcomed and valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

Today, Wonder World continues to be run by Jane, Neil and Emma, who are all actively involved in daily nursery life. This close involvement allows us to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents, getting to know every family who becomes part of our setting.

Building & Location

Building & Location

Our building has an interesting history. Originally a bar and restaurant, it was completely transformed into a purpose-built day care facility, carefully designed to create a safe and engaging space for children to learn and play.

The setting now includes six playrooms and three outdoor, all-weather play areas, allowing children of different ages to enjoy environments suited to their stage of development. One of the unique features of our nursery is the bright and open layout of the building.

Our corridors are lined with floor-to-ceiling windows looking into our internal courtyard play area, creating a light and airy space throughout the setting.

Communication & Development

Communication & Development

At Wonder World Day Care, we believe strong communication with parents is essential in supporting every child’s development. We use the Famly app to keep families connected with their child’s day and ensure parents always feel informed and involved.

Through the app, staff provide daily updates including mealtimes, sleep times, nappy changes and bottles, helping parents stay up to date with their child’s routine. The chat function allows parents and staff to message each other easily, helping to keep communication open and ongoing.

Safety is a Priority

Safety is a Priority

The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our highest priority. Our nursery is fitted with 32 cameras covering all areas of the building, including the playrooms, corridors and outdoor play areas. This allows us to maintain a high level of awareness across the setting.

We also operate a secure fob entry system for the building. Each parent is issued with their own fob, allowing them to access the nursery safely when dropping off or collecting their child. This system ensures that only authorised individuals can enter the building, giving parents the reassurance that the setting remains secure at all times.
